The Indiana Department of Natural Resources may be providing easier access to information.
A mobile “app” that the DNR oversees for mobile devices has been redesigned for both Apple and Android operating systems. The remake comes after the previous “app” was launched in 2011. According to the DNR, the previous application was downloaded almost 33-thousand times.
The “app” is supposed to act as a portable field guide, using the most popular information from the main website. An interactive map of DNR properties and camping spots is available, as well as hunting and fishing locations.
The DNR hopes that by utilizing technology to provide easy access to campground rules and other information that they can reach out to a younger audience.
