The Culver School Corporation will be considering RIF notices in the near future.
During tonight’s school board meeting, members will consider a resolution for the Reduction in Force. Removing positions from the books is often an annual process that allows the school corporation to bridge gaps in funding from the state or property tax levy.
The number of positions that may receive a Reduction in Force notice was not disclosed. Repeated calls to the school corporation seeking knowledge of the situation were not returned.
In addition to possibly eliminating positions, the school board will also be considering the elimination of a program provided at the school corporation. Exactly what that program is remains to be seen.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Culver Schools Administration Building.
