The Culver School Board will be considering changes to one of their policies this evening.
According to the school corporation’s agenda, board members will discuss an amendment to the Rainy Day Fund Resolution. Those funds are typically used to address emergency budget concerns.
The Culver School Board has take time over the last couple of meetings to review their financial situation in anticipation of funding changes at the state level. Rural schools will likely to hit relatively hard due to reductions in population.
School board members will also consider the cancellation of teaching contracts. Exactly what will be considered is unknown at this time. Calls to the Culver School Corporation requesting knowledge of the situation were not returned.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 7:00 at the Culver Schools Administration building.
