The Culver Town Council will be considering an item that has been discussed for several months, this evening.
Prior to the regularly scheduled meeting at 5:30 p.m. EDT, Culver Town Council members will review an ordinance that will establish a new brand of EMS service in the town.
The lake community has been experiencing difficulty attracting volunteers and fully staffing its EMS department.
Comparisons have been done with neighboring communities that the Town Council believes will help keep responders in Culver. That may require paying for the service. Meetings have been held to discuss the matter on several occasions in closed session, including hiring an EMS Director.
That meeting will precede the regularly scheduled meeting at 6:30 EDT. The council will meet at Culver Town Hall.
