Marshall County and most of its neighbors are enjoying lower unemployment rates than the state average, according to March numbers released by the Department of Workforce Development. Marshall and Pulaski Counties both posted rates of 5.1 percent, and Kosciusko County’s rate is 4.7 percent. Fulton County’s March jobless rate of 5.7 percent is also below the state’s 5.9 percent for the month. St. Joseph County came in at 6.2 percent, while Starke County hit 7.6 percent for the month of March.
