A project for Leadership Marshall County is turning recycling into a bit of entertainment.
The group’s “Class of XX (20)” is hosting the Marshall County Recycle Rally this Saturday. Residents of Marshall County are being asked to come to the Solid Waste District and Recycle Depot to dispose of recyclable items.
The group says they are hoping to bring awareness of the services offered at the site to Marshall County residents. Participants residing outside Marshall County will be unable to recycle items.
Tours will be offered of the Marshall County Recycle Depot’s “Swap Shop.” According to a press release, several demonstrations on Saturday will focus on repurposing unwanted items.
Calls requesting comment were not returned. The event will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on May 2nd.
