LaPaz Man Arrested After Fleeing From Fulton County Crash

A LaPaz man police say struck a car in downtown Rochester yesterday and fled on foot faces residential entry charges in Fulton County. A state trooper saw a 2001 Dodge Durango driven by 23-year-old Dakota Tucker fail to yield to traffic on Ninth Street and strike an eastbound 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by a Rochester woman. Neither were injured. Tucker got out of the SUV and ran south, according to an ISP news release. He reportedly entered an unlocked home in the 1000 block of Franklin Street, where he was arrested without further incident. The property owner was not familiar with Tucker, according to the report. The owner was home at the time and was not injured.

Tucker faces charges of residential entry, resisting law enforcement, leaving the scene of a property damage crash and operating a motor vehicle while never licensed. He was also cited for not having proof of insurance and failure to yield the right of way. Several state troopers and the Rochester Police Department responded to the incident.
