Culver School Board Approves Library Board Appointment

The Culver School Board has decided to move forward with a regular position appointment.

The school corporation in Culver holds a seat on the Monterey-Tippecanoe Township Public Library Board. Christine Sellers has held the seat previously. Her term on the Library Board expired in early March.

Culver Superintendent Vicki McGuire says approval was needed prior to making a new appointment.

“Miss Sellers has expressed her willingness to serve the board for another term if appointed,” says McGuire.

Tippecanoe Township is in Pulaski County, but is served by the Culver School Corporation. They also serve Townships in Marshall, Starke, and Fulton counties.

The school board approved the appointment to the Monterey-Tippecanoe Township Public Library Board, unanimously.

Members also recognized members of the high school’s Business Professionals of America Chapter. The students recently competed at the state level and were awarded for their efforts.

Nine students qualified for the national competition in California. School board members congratulated the group – who is looking to raise money to make the trip in May.
