Students in Marshall County may have an opportunity to learn more about a career in law enforcement.
The camp, which will be held between June 23rd and 26th has been an annual occurrence for the last 36 years. Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin says the statewide camp is targeted toward 7th and 8th graders.
According to a press release, campers will get to build experiences with Sheriff’s officers – who provide instruction and serve at the campsite. In addition, other students will be able to participate from around Indiana.
Leadership skills, K-9 demonstrations, defense skills, and overall camaraderie will be discussed in detail at the camp.
The get-away will be held at Pine Creek Camp in Pine Village, Indiana. That campsite is in Warren County.
Chamberlin says anyone who’s interested can contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
