United Way of Marshall County Looking for More Funds to Close Campaign

United Way of Marshall County officials are hoping for some last-minute donations to help the organization meet its 2014 campaign of $550,000.

Campaign Co-Chair Cindy Rash says the goal is within reach and donations can be made by phone or online to make it happen. A shortfall of about $35,000 is anticipated, but it’s not an amount that will affect programs for local agencies, projects and programs in Marshall County that rely on the United Way’s support.

United Way of Marshall County supports 24 nonprofit agencies and programs.

To make a donation, call (574) 936-3366 or visit www.marshallcountyuw.org.

Funding request applications for 2015 are currently under review.

The United Way’s annual celebration will be held Thursday, April 30, at Christo’s Banquet Center in Plymouth. The event will celebrate the achievement of the campaign, the investments in the community to improve quality of life in Marshall County and changes in store for the upcoming year.
