Plymouth Woman Sentenced On Meth Charges

A Plymouth woman accused of possessing and manufacturing methamphetamine was sentenced on Wednesday in Marshall County.

25-year-old Brittney Patrick was arrested after officers with Indiana State Police and Plymouth Police executed a search warrant in May of 2014 for a house on Oakhill Avenue in Plymouth. Authorities allegedly located what they say are numerous items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. A small amount of the drug itself was also located.

Police says that interviews with Patrick revealed that she purchased meth precursors for delivery to a co-defendant. Police allege the pair intended to make the drug with the products.

During trial, Judge Robert Bowen approved a plea deal where several counts were dismissed

Nonetheless, Patrick was sentenced to concurrent sentences of three years on charges of possession of methamphetamine and three years for the unlawful sale of a precursor. She was also sentenced to two years consecutively for the neglect of a dependant. She will spend a total of five years in prison.
