Plymouth School Board Readies Summer School Services

The Plymouth School Board is looking to be cautious about one of its services.

According to the agenda for tonight’s Board of Education meeting, members plan to share information about the summer school programs for the 2015 school year.

The state is no longer funding summer school at 100-percent, meaning local districts may need to reconsider the services they offer. As things stand now, the elementary reading program is for 10 days, 4 hours per day. High school classes will run 30 days for five hours each day.

Information supplied by Plymouth School Corporation says the High School program may need to move to Lincoln Junior High School for work that has to be done to install the generator.

Board members will also hear a report on student performance on the SAT and ACT tests from the previous year.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 7:00 EST
