The Plymouth Common Council is looking to generate dollars to help complete a few public works projects.
During their meeting tonight, two ordinances will come up for first reading. The City is looking to issue revenue bonds to pay the cost of additions and extensions at the municipal waterworks.
The Common Council will also be considering an ordinance to refinance bonds for upgrades to the municipal sewage works. The City already has similar revenue bonds issued for 2008 – where they considered $5-million in revenue for sewer upgrades and repairs. The new bond issuance, with approval, would refund the 2008 bonds, but also provide additional financing for the sewage projects.
The measure’s are on first reading according to the agenda.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:30 EDT in Council Chambers at the Plymouth City Building.
