Motorists in St. Joseph County may have to contend with a bit of a slowdown this weekend.
ISP says they will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint on Friday. Police did not specify where the checkpoint will be held. The ISP’s Bremen Post Troopers will be conducting the work.
According to information released by the department, the checkpoint will be in conjunction with an “Operation Pull Over” period that runs until the end of the month. State Police also say they will be conducting a saturation patrol after the checkpoint has been completed to look for impaired drivers.
The State Police say that so long as drivers have their license and vehicle registration, they should only be delayed by about three minutes.
ISP says they are committed to traffic safety.
