A Marshall County bridge will be getting a facelift.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says the bridge over the Yellow River on U.S. 6 will be closed starting Monday. The bridge is located near Bremen about one mile west of state road 331.
Construction crews will be replacing the entire bridge deck. Bridge decks typically involve the roadway supporting vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
The closure is expected to last through the end of September this year in order to complete the work.
A detour will be in place to allow traffic to continue around the construction. According to INDOT, Eastbound traffic will be changed at state road 106. Westbound traffic will be detoured at state road 331.
Drivers can monitor the road closures on INDOT’s website.
