Regional economic growth is the focus of a forum scheduled Wednesday, March 4 at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth. Community shareholders from across the area will gather for the Michiana Partnership – Growing Our Regional Economy presentation. It is one of several coalitions across the state that are looking at ways to boost population and job growth in the Hoosier state.
The effort is an outgrowth of a study commissioned by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to look at well-recognized regions known for population growth and attracting talent and capital investment. Gov. Mike Pence hopes to duplicate their success in Indiana as part of his Regional Cities Initiative. Find more information at http://indianaregionalcities.com/.
Wednesday’s meeting will take place from 9 until 11 a.m. EST at Swan Lake Resort. Members of the public are welcome to attend and offer input to shape the area’s future for years to come. Please RSVP by today to Pam Davis at the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation Office by calling 574-935-8499.
