Plymouth Police Make Arrests in Speedway Robbery

A man and woman Plymouth Police say robbed the Speedway gas station in the 2000 block of North Michigan Ave. early Sunday morning are in custody.

Curtis Bryan Branscom, 27, and Bethany Leann Branscom, 24, face numerous charges in connection with the 3:45 a.m. holdup. Detectives from the Plymouth Police Department found them at the Economy Inn in Plymouth later that morning where they had been living. Curtis Branscom was in the bathroom trying to shave his beard off when he was apprehended, according to police. Officers recovered some of the cash but say most of it had been used by buy heroin in South Bend after the robbery.

Both face preliminary charges of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, theft, possession of hypodermic syringe and possession of legend drug.
