Plymouth Positive – that was the theme for Mayor Mark Senter’s annual State of the City address last evening. He touted last summer’s dedication of the River Park Center, the recent completion of the Metronet project, plans for Phase 2 of the Greenway Trail and economic development initiatives in his speech to the city council.
Senter also said he will soon ask for an additional $300,000 investment into the street and sidewalk fund, with much of that money to be dedicated to alleyway repairs. Other plans call for the addition of new entrance signage at the intersection of Michigan and 7A Roads incorporating the city’s new logo. Another longer-range item on Senter’s agenda is redevelopment of the city’s near west side in cooperation with the railroads. Senter’s entire State of the City speech as well as the State of the Mayor’s Youth Council address will air in their entirety Sunday at 12 p.m. EST on our Maximum Impact public affairs show on MAX 98.3 FM.
