Ancilla College could soon be launching a new program for students.
The Roman Catholic liberal arts school says it will be starting a hospitality degree program. Hospitality covers several subjects from hotel administration to other food and tourism related specialties.
Talks on the program started after Ancilla College says it has been researching what future students desire in their career path.
Ancilla College’s proposed hospitality degree is still considered in the exploratory phase. The campus has a student center with a cafeteria open to the public, but officials say there will now be a hospitality facility to complement the site.
A timeline for starting the program has been sketched out, but largely remains undetermined while plans are in the works. Estimates by school officials say a program launch could happen by the fall of 2016.
