Kankakee Valley Broadcasting Celebrates MAX 98.3 FM Launch

Join the staff of Kankakee Valley Broadcasting for today’s ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the launch of WYMR-FM, MAX 98.3. The 6,000 watt radio station is licensed in Culver and Plymouth and is a sister station to K99.3 WKVI FM and Kountry KVI 1520 AM, both of which are licensed in Knox. The stations share an air staff and news department and play a similar mix of hit music from the 1970s through present day.

“The Boss” Tony Ross hosts the morning show from 6 until 9 a.m. EST each weekday, followed by a commercial-free hour of music from 9 until 10 a.m. General Manager Lenny Dessauer takes over from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and Tom Berg is on in the afternoons. News Director Mary Perren updates Marshall County headlines throughout the morning. Anita Goodan provides news coverage all afternoon, and Tyler Maffitt takes over with quick news updates during the evening hours and into early morning. WYMR’s programming also includes Marshall County sports broadcasts, a schedule of which can be found online at www.SportsToTheMax.net.

Members of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce will be at the WYMR-FM studio at 223 East Jefferson Street in Plymouth, which is between the Coffee Lodge and Marshall County Blueberry Festival Office for an 11 a.m. EST ribbon cutting ceremony. Staff members will be at the studio locations in both Plymouth and Knox for the festivities, which will be broadcast live on both radio stations.
