A store that has been in the Plymouth community for 20 years will be closing in mid-April.
Approximately 60 employees will be let go from the Kmart store on Pilgrim Lane and they found out about the closure last week, according to a report in the South Bend Tribune.
A representative from Sears Holdings told the publication that the company would be closing 235 underperforming stores, a statistic that came out in an earnings report in early December. The majority of those stores happened to be Kmart stores.
There is a local Kmart store in LaPorte and another in Mishawaka.
