Kankakee Valley Broadcasting will present the 50th annual TCU Bi-County Basketball Tournament in its entirety for the first time. Tony Ross and his crew will have the tip-off between Triton and LaVille tonight on MAX 98.3-FM or possibly WKVI-FM and online at www.SportsToTheMax.net. They will also provide scoring updates from the other first round games during their broadcast. Argos is at Culver, John Glenn is playing host to Bremen, and New Prairie will be at Oregon-Davis. All of the games tip off at 8 p.m. EST.
Ross will also broadcast the girls and boys semi-final games on Jan. 22 and 23 and the championship game on Saturday, Jan. 24 on WKVI’s sister station, MAX 98.3, WYMR-FM. The 6,000 watt station is awaiting final approval from the FCC to operate at full broadcast power. MAX-FM is licensed to Culver and will provide the same type of aggressive local news, sports and weather coverage to Marshall and surrounding counties that WKVI currently provides to Starke and Pulaski Counties. All of the Bi-County Tournament games will be carried on www.SportsToTheMax.net as well. That website is a clearinghouse for all local sports in Starke, Marshall and Pulaski Counties.
