The Indiana Department of Revenue is promoting an option that some Indiana residents may qualify for when filing their taxes.
According to a press release, The Department of Revenue says residents with an adjusted gross income of 60-thousand dollars or less may qualify to file their tax return for free using the “INfreefile” service.
The program is a cooperative effort with the IRS and about 20 states around the country.
Six vendors are providing a way to file taxes electronically and, by using the service online, the release claims Hoosiers were able to get their refunds faster and keep their filing more secure.
120-thousand taxpayers in Indiana were able to use the INfreefile service last year.
