The Culver Town Council will meet Tuesday, and a public hearing hopes to gather input on an amendment to the zoning ordinance.
The Town’s Plan Commission recommended a draft to change the ordinance at their meeting in November to allow for Wind Energy Conversion Systems. That includes things like windmills on personal property.
The Town Council now has the opportunity to consider the matter alongside any input from the public on the matter. Previous complaints have included the level of noise the wind energy systems generate.
This isn’t the first time the Town of Culver has considered such a change. A similar amendment to the zoning ordinance was attempted about this time last year.
Tuesday’s meeting begins at 6:30 at Culver Town Hall.
