Speech teams from across northern Indiana will compete in the John Oliver Invitational Tournament at Plymouth High School today. More than 500 students from 26 schools will take part in various individual and group competitions. Members of the public are welcome to attend as well.
The first competitions will begin around 8:30 a.m. EST, followed by more at 10 and 11:30 a.m. During each round throughout the day, there will be a judge and five or six entries competing in over 70 rooms at the same time. Competition rounds should wrap up by 3 p.m. and will be followed by an awards ceremony in the Plymouth High School auditorium.
