Christians of all faiths are invited to the Center at Donaldson to pray for world peace. The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and the Center at Donaldson are hosting a World Day of Prayer for Peace service this afternoon at 2 p.m. EDT at the Catherine Kasper Home chapel.
A statement on the Poor Handmaids’ website reads, “Pope Francis urges all of us to open our hearts to our neighbors who are affected by lack of access to education, poverty, hunger, conflicts, migration, inequalities, and injustice. We are all members of one human family who seek peace in the world.” In addition to the service, nine prayer stations have been set up throughout the Center at Donaldson. Visitors can learn about some of the injustices that lead to conflict and are invited to pray for peace at each station.
